My name is Kathy and I'm a Reiki Master* and I’m always looking for ways to help people. I decided to incorporate my Reiki and spiritual healing* into my new business, Kathy’s Bath Kraze. My knowledge and love of working with different herbs, oils and energies to create love, healing and peace brought me here. I began making homemade natural soaps and fell in love with the whole process. I joined HSCG, Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild, to keep updated on all aspects of the handcrafted soap making art.
My homemade soap is natural, and every batch is infused with love and positive energy. There are soaps that I make for the fun and the scent, and there are soaps that I make with thoughtful herbal healing properties. I have a men’s collection, nut & vegan free collection, liquid hand soap collection and outside of the homemade soaps is a soon to come herbal bath tea* collection a shower melt* collection.
I make soaps that are all natural, which means it is made with skin loving oils, pure essential oils and on occasion herbal additives and I make soaps with fragrance oils.
If you’re asking yourself “is homemade soap made with lye?” you are correct. Each batch of my soap’s lye is calculated and emulsified with the oils which then begins the saponification* process. When this process is complete, the soap has no lye in it because it is now soap!
I hope you decide to purchase my soaps and enjoy them as much as I do making them!
Very truly yours,
*Reiki: Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the healer can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well being.
*Spiritual Healing: Spiritual healing transfers energy into the patient by means of touch to activate healing, relax the body, release tensions and to heal, the mind, body and soul.
*Bath Teas: A muslin bag with herbs in it that may help with stress, sore muscles, anxiety etc. The bag is placed in the bathtub for a luxurious herbal bath soak.
*Saponification: Saponification is a process by which triglycerides are reacted with sodium or potassium hydroxide (lye) to produce glycerol and a fatty acid salt, called "soap." The triglycerides are most often animal fats or vegetable oils.
*Shower Melt: Shower Melts are similar to bath bombs, except that they contain no moisturizing oils for the skin so that they don't make the floor of your shower slippery. Simply place a shower melt (aka fizzy, shower steamer, shower bomb) on the floor of your shower where the water will not hit it, turn on the water, and step inside. The water will cause the shower melt to break apart and dissolve, thus releasing the fragrant essential oils.
